Responsibilities
Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and entertainment location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, crowd management, and coordinating with on-site management and/or local responders as needed
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, entrances, and the parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns
Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted spaces, and helping to support loss prevention efforts through observation and timely reporting
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or property representatives
Qualification
Required
Have at least 6+ months of security experience
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
