Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal guidelines
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, ATM vestibules, and building perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site
Monitor access points and public areas for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter theft, fraud, workplace violence, and/or other security-related incidents
Screen and verify authorized entry for employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors according to site-specific procedures, including checking credentials and directing individuals to proper areas
Observe cash-handling areas and transport routes when assigned, maintaining a visible presence and reporting concerns through the proper channels
Operate surveillance cameras, alarm panels, and/or other monitoring systems as assigned; document and report system issues and observed activity
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications to site contacts, Allied Universal supervision, and/or emergency services when appropriate
Conduct preliminary assessments of disturbances, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations; de-escalate when possible and coordinate additional assistance as needed
Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, patrol activity reports, and/or other required documentation in a timely manner
Provide directions and general assistance to customers and employees, supporting a professional environment while maintaining post coverage
Participate in required training and briefings, maintain required certifications for an armed post, and follow all use-of-force reporting and escalation requirements
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
An armed guard card/license is required
The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED
Be at least 21 years of age
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
