Regional Economic Information Network (REIN) Director - Economic Analysis

The REIN Director will lead economic analysis efforts, synthesize qualitative data to inform monetary policymaking, and collaborate with key stakeholders in the Nashville office and beyond.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate efforts to translate qualitative economic data and trends into written and visually compelling insights, narratives and Beige Book summaries for internal and external audiences
Synthesize and communicate regional, qualitative economic intelligence to inform the Atlanta Fed’s assessment of the economy and monetary policy deliberations
Assist in identifying implementing the strategic use of technology in REIN’s economic analysis work
Work with Nashville team to identify and develop relationships with a diverse portfolio of key business, community, academic, and state and local government leaders as part of REIN outreach efforts
Develop and occasionally deliver presentations and conduct select interviews with business and community leaders. Support engagement of senior Fed leaders on visits to Tennessee
Work with Nashville Regional Executive and REIN team to recruit and develop the Nashville Branch Board of Directors, the Human Capital Advisory Council, and other advisory councils as requested

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five to eight years of work experience
Strong understanding of macroeconomics and business principles
Deep experience with economic analysis, particularly qualitative analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong strategic project management skills
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency

Preferred

Master's degree preferred (in economics or related field such as business, finance, or public policy) or equivalent experience in economics
Preference for experience with generative AI, data visualizations and/or other technology tools
