This role owns the physical product experience from concept through production, ensuring CopperSmith products are timeless, manufacturable, cohesive, and unmistakably premium.

Responsibilities

Conducts market, customer, and competitive research to inform product direction

Uses AI tools to analyze demand signals, design patterns, and repeat custom requests

Develops sketches, 3D models, and physical prototypes to validate form and function

Leverages AI-assisted ideation tools to rapidly explore and refine early design concepts

Designs products optimized for real-world fabrication, materials, and cost efficiency

Collaborates closely with CAD, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure designs scale cleanly and profitably

Establishes and maintains cohesive design language across product collections

Uses AI-assisted review and comparison tools to ensure designs align with CopperSmith’s premium brand standards

Required

5+ years of industrial design experience in physical products

Proficiency in modern design and CAD tools, with comfort in adopting AI-enabled workflows

Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes

Highly organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design
