Business Development Representative
Fasteners Direct is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Marketing team and support revenue growth through demand generation, lead engagement, and qualification. This role is responsible for creating awareness, capturing interest, and converting prospects into Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) aligned with Fasteners Direct's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).

Responsibilities
Execute inbound and outbound marketing-driven prospecting to generate awareness and interest in Fasteners Direct's solutions
Engage prospects across multiple channels, including email, phone, social selling, and campaign-driven outreach
Support and amplify marketing campaigns by following up on inbound leads and target accounts
Identify and act on buying signals generated through marketing activity and engagement data
Qualify leads against Fasteners Direct's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and buyer readiness criteria
Convert engaged prospects into Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
Disqualify non-ICP or low-intent leads to protect funnel efficiency and reduce Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
Schedule discovery calls and meetings for Account Executives and Client Success Consultants
Deliver structured, high-quality handoffs that include qualification notes, pain points, goals, and engagement history
Partner with Sales to ensure alignment on lead quality, feedback loops, and conversion outcomes
Develop deep familiarity with Fasteners Direct's products, systems, and market positioning
Clearly communicate marketing-approved messaging and value propositions during prospect interactions
Gather voice-of-customer insights and feedback to inform marketing campaigns and messaging optimization
Manage and track all lead activity within Fasteners Direct's CRM and marketing automation systems
Ensure accurate attribution of marketing touchpoints to support funnel analysis and CAC reporting
Maintain clean data to enable effective reporting, forecasting, and campaign optimization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field preferred
1–2 years in demand generation, marketing development, sales development, or customer engagement roles
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, qualify, and educate prospects
Comfortable working with campaign data, conversion metrics, and funnel analytics
Proven ability to work closely with Sales while maintaining marketing ownership of lead quality
Proficiency in CRM platforms; experience with marketing automation tools is highly desirable
Preferred
Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or B2B environments is a plus
