Intern, Brand Marketing
American Public Media Group is seeking a Brand Marketing Intern to support strategic brand building and marketing activation. This role provides an opportunity for early-career individuals to gain hands-on experience in marketing while collaborating across functions.
Media and Entertainment
Responsibilities
Planning support (production and creative needs, staff/volunteer coordination, partner and vendor communication, etc.)
On-site management (interaction with event attendees and fellow staff/volunteers)
Logistics (packing/unpacking, delivering materials, set-up/takedown, spreadsheet management, etc.)
Receive, vet and execute marketing trades
Build relationships with key underwriting and brand partners
Manage spreadsheets for assessing marketing trade ROI and value to be used across the enterprise as well as tracking existing and potential trades
Assist with ticket giveaways and deliverable execution
Assist with event activations as needed
Help write promotional scripts
Serve as point person for creative services requests, managing reviews and feedback with cross functional partners
Develop creative briefs for priority campaigns in partnership with marketing managers
Ensure all assets are reviewed, approved and stored in a timely and effective manner
Qualification
Required
Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduates (within the past 18 months)
Must be able to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:00pm) for the duration of this internship
Must be able work in the office (St. Paul, MN) at least 2 days per week
Currently pursuing or have earned a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field
Enthusiastic interest in podcasts, public media and radio, and/or digital marketing
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and creativity
Strong digital/computer skills (typing/word processing, email, internet research, etc.)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello)
Strong experience with Outlook and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A keen eye for detail and a passion for brand consistency
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
