Director - Sales Finance

The Director of Sales Finance will serve as a strategic finance partner, overseeing sales planning, forecasting, and financial management to drive profitable growth through insights and collaboration with commercial teams.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary finance partner to Sales and cross-functional commercial teams to drive decision-making and performance management, translating strategy to plans/targets
Lead the commercial cadence: AOP/annual plan, periodic forecasts, month-end close support, risks & opportunities, and leadership readouts
Develop and maintain customer/channel scorecards (shipments, net sales, trade spend, margin, volume/mix, etc.) and create clear executive narratives
Manage key trade finance processes: trade accruals, spend pacing, deductions/claims visibility, and promotional financial tracking
Own/standardize customer P&Ls and profitability views to improve commercial decisions
Identify performance drivers and create actionable recommendations (what happened, why, what to do next)
Present clear, concise insights to senior leadership; influence decisions without authority
Lead implementation of a new TPM tool and harmonize processes between companies
Qualification
Required
Business partnership mindset; comfortable challenging assumptions
High learning agility; thrives in fast-moving environments
Strong executive communication and structure problem solving
Detail-oriented with a “control tower” view of the business
8+ years of progressive experience in Sales Finance / Commercial Finance / FP&A supporting Sales within CPG
Strong command of planning/forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
Experience working with trade spend / customer investments (accruals, pacing, post-period true-ups, etc.)
Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and communicate effectively with executives
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field
Preferred
MBA / CPA / CMA
Experience with syndicated and/or commercial performance data (IRI/Nielsen, shipment/scan alignment and TPM tools)
