Responsibilities
Designing, developing and maintaining automated test suites to ensure product quality and release readiness
Developing a test strategy and implementation of key technical solutions in quality engineering
Establishing new automation infrastructure, maintaining existing automation, and creating reusable tests artifacts to streamline testing processes
Driving the design and implementation of scalable test automation solutions to support healthcare administration systems
Participating in testing strategy for system conversion activities
Working and collaborating on emerging technologies to solve legacy test challenges
Establishing test infrastructure that delivers immediate business value and scales for future needs
Championing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in quality engineering
Qualification
Required
Minimum BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering
8+ years of experience in software development and quality engineering, with hands-on expertise in application test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, and/or Selenium
Proven experience with commercial software development using object-oriented design methodology
Strong knowledge of web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript and Python
Experience working with relational databases (RDBMS), REST APIs, and related tools like SQL, Rest Assured, and Postman
Demonstrated technical experience as an automation engineer/software engineer working across a diverse range of applications at multiple layers of the technology
Experience defining KPIs and driving measurable improvements in automation coverage, defect leakage, and release readiness
Proven ability to lead global teams and establish best practices for quality engineering
Excellent collaboration skills and a strong team player
Preferred
Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and GraphQL is a plus
Experience with event-driven applications (e.g. Azure Service Bus, Kafka) is a plus
You have experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack using a variety of automation frameworks
You have expertise with using Java or JavaScript and experience with Cucumber/BDD
You have confirmed knowledge of CI/CD principles using Jenkins and Git and can make recommendations on how to best include test automation into pipelines
Lead and mentor a team of SDETs, fostering automation best practices and building reusable frameworks
You bring a learning mentality to your work and are eager to master and adopt new technologies
You have a shift left mindset prioritizing early testing and quality integration
You will influence technology strategy, foster a culture of quality, and collaborate with senior leaders to align QE initiatives with business goals
