Responsibilities

As a highly motivated undergraduate student, you will participate in a 10 to 12-week internship based in Huntsville, Alabama
Interns will be matched to assignments with the Quality and Continuous Improvement team
Potential start dates are May 2026
Successful candidates will be employed through a 3rd party contractor for the length of Internship
Work closely with the Operational Excellence team on continuous improvement projects in manufacturing
Learn different lean and six sigma tools and leverage this learning in assigned projects
Learn how to statistically analyze data during Measure, Analyze or Improve phase of a project
Perform floor Gemba walks, make observations, collect data, and identify improvement opportunities
Assess the value of current visual controls and help improve them to enhance production flow and communications between departments
Participate in 5S audits and improvement events
Develop process maps of specified function, identify bottlenecks and work towards future improved flow
Work with other team members to implement improvements and measure success

Required

College Sophomores and Juniors receiving a bachelor's in the following
Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Demonstrated academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.0)
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or future sponsorship
Leadership potential
Microsoft Office
Active participation in extra-curricular activities and on-campus organizations
Outstanding work ethic

Preferred

Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus
