They are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests and assist in the diagnostic process on a PRN basis for the Night Shift.

Responsibilities
Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
Ensure quality control measures are adhered to and participate in quality assurance programs
Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings to healthcare team members
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed, results obtained, and subsequent actions taken
Assist in the training and orientation of new staff and students as needed
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including OSHA and CLIA
Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from an accredited organization (e.g., ASCP, AMT)
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions
Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items (up to 30 lb)
Visual acuity for reading laboratory instruments and test results
Preferred
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply
