They are seeking an Educational Developmental Assistant to support instructional activities for court-involved youth at the Lenoir Youth Development Center, focusing on individualized educational support and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Supporting instructional activities in core subject areas under the guidance of licensed teachers
Assisting with lesson planning
Preparing instructional materials
Delivering individualized or small group instruction to students
Monitoring student academic and behavior and progress
Maintaining data records
Providing written or verbal feedback
Coordinating classroom activities
Using educational technology
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive educational support for the students

Qualification

Required

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of experience working with students in an educational environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Experience working with students, including understanding their unique educational needs and/or providing appropriate instructional support
Experience with classroom management techniques
Experience documenting student progress and working with multidisciplinary teams
Experience using classroom equipment and/or computer-based learning tools commonly used in educational settings
