Responsibilities

Promoting equitable social, economic, and environmental conditions to achieve optimal health, mental health, and well-being for all
Implementing initiatives to address health inequities experienced by transgender, gender nonconforming, and intersex Californians
Performing a wide variety of the more complex technical, analytical functions related to executing the interdisciplinary health equity policy and planning work of the Unit
Managing a portfolio of contracts and work with other program staff to ensure that contracts, grants and other agreements administered by the Unit comply with established contact policies and procedures
Working on the more complex tasks relating to procurement, fiscal oversight, invoicing, program planning, policy analysis and formulation, office management and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
Limited in-state travel may be required (10%)

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in health equity policy and planning
Strong analytical skills
Ability to manage contracts and grants
Knowledge of procurement and fiscal oversight
Understanding of program planning and policy analysis
Familiarity with compliance related to the Americans with Disabilities Act
Ability to perform complex technical and analytical functions
California residency prior to appointment and maintenance of residency
Limited in-state travel may be required (10%)

Benefits

This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
This position may be eligible for telework.
Reimbursement for travel takes into consideration an employee’s designated headquarters, as reflected in the duty statement, and is subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions.
