Responsibilities
Partner with analysts and developers to understand needs and translate them into features
Design, architect, and implement scalable full stack solutions aligned to mission goals
Build and maintain backend services, custom libraries, and REST APIs
Develop front end interfaces that support analyst workflows and operational use cases
Improve and optimize existing code for performance, maintainability, and reliability
Own the full development lifecycle for assigned features and projects
Write and execute tests, support deployments, and troubleshoot production issues
Automate development tasks and help mature CI CD workflows and engineering standards
Support integration of new automations into the system
Use Jira and Confluence to track work, document decisions, and align across the team
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
3 years of relevant experience required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree
Full stack development experience delivering production web applications
Backend development using Python frameworks such as Django
Experience building REST APIs and reusable libraries
Front end development using React, Vue, or Next
Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with Git and collaborative workflows
Strong problem solving skills and ability to learn internal systems unique to CNO
Experience using Atlassian tools, Jira and Confluence
Preferred
Prior experience supporting CNO environments
Containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as NiFi, Dagster, or Airflow
Familiarity with DevOps practices including automated testing and CI CD workflows
Linux experience
