Responsibilities
Serves as a leader to create and cultivate a data driven culture by championing the cause for data literacy and its potential to drive business success
Acts as a change champion, driving enterprise-wide data technology transformation initiatives and ensure successful implementation
Promotes a philosophy of SSOT (Single Source of Truth)
Enablement and delivery of groundbreaking data analytical assets, championing the development and adoption of modern data analytics platform and services
Designs and builds out a robust foundation for strong data analytics capabilities with focus towards delivering data that is consistent, trusted and secure. Manage data collection processes, ensuring trusted data is available timely
Builds analytics solutions to meet business analytics needs that include dashboards, KPI's, key metrics and AI solutions
Lead analytics team responsible for data architecture, modeling, engineering, reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and business insights, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment
Designs, implements, and leads data flow processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, timeliness and data integrity. Ensure compliance, security, and proper access controls for sensitive data
Follow Microsoft Best practices, taking into account both performance and cost factors
Active role in data architecture, tools, processes, project assessment and development process design
Provide technical overviews and tool demonstrations to Solution Architects and to Power Users, Key Business users and SAP Functional owners as needed
Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure the creation of production solutions which address business needs
Organize, create and maintain critical technical and functional documentation for solutions, including technical specifications, test plans and training materials
Mentor technical teams on best practices in data architecture and solution design
Drive adoption of analytics tools and best practices
Monitor performance and continuously improve delivery processes
Provides long term data architecture strategy and roadmap for specific data sets, including master data, that supports the overall Business objectives
Implement data governance strategy and best practices for global solution
Oversee metadata management, data lineage, and classification
Ensure governed data is accessible and usable for insights
Educate stakeholders on data governance principles and best practices
Lead data governance councils or working groups
Evaluate and implement data governance tools (data catalogs, lineage platforms)
Integrate governance capabilities into data platforms and analytics workflows
Monitor tool adoption and effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field
10+ years of experience in Information Technology
Proven success as a data architect (8+ years), with experience in data integration and BI reporting tools, including Power BI
At least 3 years of supervisory experience
Knowledge of SAP functional areas including: Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Finance and Controlling, and Inventory
Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver
Ability to manage long term goals along with immediate business concerns
Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and teach
Strong communication and comprehension skills and the ability to translate highly complex technical issues to non-technical audience
Ability to work well with others
Must be trustworthy and handle work of a confidential nature
Preferred
Past experience with defining and successfully leading data transformation strategies within a multi-national organization
Experience with data governance using Purview
