Clean Energy Counsel, a mission-driven law firm, is dedicated to accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels. They are seeking a highly qualified junior finance attorney with expertise in debt financings and a solid foundation in corporate law, particularly in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

Serve as the junior attorney on complex financings in the renewable energy field, including drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating transaction documents and ancillary agreements
Collaborate with clients, CEC colleagues, and other professionals on finance matters
Adhere to Firm policies, practices, and priorities
Perform other duties as requested by Firm management

Required

2-5 years of experience at a law firm, ideally in a practice serving clients in the renewable energy and related industries
Experience working on large syndicated financings and drafting the various related ancillary agreements (e.g. reliance letters, resolutions, opinion backup certificates, etc.)
Ability to confidently manage checklist on large complex transactions and move various deal components forward
Strong organization, drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Team-focused outlook with a focus on mentoring junior attorneys
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational, planning and project management skills with the capacity to simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under strict deadlines and pressure
Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a remote work environment
Admission to and in good standing with the Bar of the applicant's state of residence

Benefits

1,200 annual billable hour requirement, with bonuses for exceeding such requirement and for origination of new clients and matters based on a percentage of total revenue received.
