Naval Nuclear Laboratory is dedicated to ensuring the safety and reliability of the nation's naval nuclear reactors. They are seeking a highly motivated Technologist to perform corrective and preventative maintenance for the Simulation Suite, ensuring optimal performance of training equipment for U.S. Navy personnel.

Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks on the ITE and related support systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and correct problems with simulation equipment and support systems
Documentation: Keep records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with program safety standards
Simulator Upgrades: Perform physical installation of ITE computer and networking equipment, controls components, infrastructure, and mechanical equipment to support simulator upgrades
Hardware Testing: Provide physical support for testing various simulator electronic controls and mechanical components
Project Support: Support the Simulator Lead Engineers and Resident Engineers on projects related to ITE and Support systems

Required

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Journeymans Papers in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Qualification as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator (or commercial nuclear equivalent) and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
All candidates must be U.S. citizens
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707

Preferred

Prior simulator maintenance and operations experience
Prior experience with the Naval Nuclear Training Program
