Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer for the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract, supporting the IDAP Division. The role involves serving as a senior engineer in airborne instrumentation systems integration and overseeing various testing processes for aviation weapon systems.

Responsibilities

Incumbent will serve as a senior electronical engineer in the field of airborne instrumentation systems integration for the U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command, Redstone Test Center

Responsible for planning, execution, real-time data quality monitoring, data analysis, and reporting for developmental and/or operational tests of system integrations on various aviation weapon system platforms

Contributing to and documenting flight operations and flight test developments

Qualification

Electrical Engineering degreeRead/create electrical schematicsPulse Code ModulationProgramming numerical systemsInterface with military aviation

Required

Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school or a degree in an applicable technical specialty

9+ yrs experience in aircraft/aircraft systems/aircraft instrumentation (e.g., flight control, displays, radar, communication/navigation, airframe) testing

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)

Preferred

Ability to read and create electrical schematics

Ability to create or modify Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) data streams

Working knowledge of programming numerical systems such as Binary, Hexadecimal, Octal, etc

Working knowledge of how to interface with, and record data from, military aviation platforms
