Responsibilities
Work on the floor in the warehouse 90% of the day. 10% office work for reporting requirements
Complete daily audits, picking error forms, quality reports, & document errors for employee
Completing & shipping quality orders as needed
Clear outbound audit station of system or quality issues when necessary
Work closely with all Supervisors and the Shift Manager to determine the areas not up to standards
Transfers to other functions within the DC as directed by the supervisor on an as needed basis
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
First-hand experience in quality assurance in a warehouse distribution environment preferred
Basic computer skills. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; and the warehouse management system
Communicate clearly and effectively with others in a close working environment
Work as a team with internal and external employees of the company; ability to work effectively with other staff members to accomplish tasks and departmental projects
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; to manage competing demands; to manage priorities amidst frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong sense of urgency to meet established deadlines
Work overtime on the weekends if necessary. Occasionally work alternate shifts
Must be capable of sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time
Overhead reaching and lifting required. Bending, standing, stooping, pushing, and pulling required
Must be able to carry up to 35 pounds consistently, up to 50 pounds occasionally
Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature changes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment that require detailed hand movements and coordination, possible exposure to dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation
Preferred
First-hand experience in quality assurance in a warehouse distribution environment preferred
