Responsibilities
Work with small business owners to provide technical assistance and support related to business planning, marketing, and financial management
Identify needs and develop solutions based on assessment, connecting business owners with appropriate resources to support their success
Work collaboratively with other NSCDC staff to develop programming that fosters the growth of small businesses in our communities
Qualification
Required
Two or more years of experience in small business support, business development, or relevant experience in community development or economic empowerment programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including small business owners, local government representatives, and community-based organizations
Demonstrated dedication to community empowerment and social and economic justice
Ability to write business plans, marketing plans and analyze business financial statements
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities with defined deadlines
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and QuickBooks preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
