Senior Associate Project Manager

Responsibilities
Support Senior Strategic Business Consultants in planning and executing project activities including facilitating workshops
Coordinate project tasks, schedules, and documentation across cross-functional teams
Assist with preparing project status updates, presentations, and communication materials
Help monitor progress against timelines, identify basic risks, and escalate issues appropriately
Participate in project meetings, capturing actions, decisions, next steps, and updates to RAID log
Develop an understanding of how project outcomes connect to enterprise-level strategies, escalating insights and observations that influence senior decision-making
Support senior consultants by gathering input that shapes early business cases, opportunity assessments, and value hypotheses
Conduct basic business process analysis to understand current-state workflows
Create process maps (as-is and to-be) with guidance from senior team members
Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency, consistency, and productivity
Support change-leadership activities associated with new processes and solutions
Contribute to framing problem statements and organizing requirements that support future state design under guidance from senior PMO leaders
Apply structured problem-solving techniques (Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis) to develop foundational analytical insights
Gather and document business requirements for assigned workstreams
Conduct research, benchmarking, and data collection to support recommendations
Ability to perform root cause analysis to validate and prioritize 'to-be' solutions
Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, and validation activities
Assist in data preparation for value tracking, performance dashboards, and benefits realization summaries
Build foundational analytical capability that supports opportunity sizing and validation for improvement initiatives
Build effective working relationships with business and technical partners
Communicate clearly and professionally in verbal, written, and presentation formats
Partner with IT, operations, and cross-functional teams to support solution delivery
Ability to navigate and strategize through conflict resolution opportunities
Support preparation of leadership ready summaries that synthesize data, risks, and recommendations in a clear, structured format
Observe senior consultants’ stakeholder influence strategies and begin developing personal skills in navigating complex stakeholder environments
Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives) as assigned
Assist with backlog grooming activities and story refinement with product and development teams
Support continuous improvement of project delivery through learning and adopting PMO standards
Take increasing ownership of defined workstream activities within Agile structures, demonstrating growing independence and accountability
Build PMO maturity by developing proficiency with governance frameworks, project health metrics, and delivery methodologies
Qualification
Required
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience
2–3 years of experience supporting process improvement, operations, or project coordination
Strong executive presence in written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to facilitate cross functional meetings
Demonstrated resourceful problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to build strong working relationships across teams
Experience with process mapping, SIPOCs, and understanding of workflow documentation
Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize work, and meet deadlines
Preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred (or working toward certification)
Experience in healthcare, supply chain, distribution, or operations strongly preferred
Inquisitive and curious mindset; comfortable asking questions and seeking clarity from leaders
Strong organization and time-management skills
Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
Growth mindset with a passion to learn and improve
Flexible and comfortable in ambiguous situations/ change
Excellent non-verbal communication skills
Basic change-leadership experience or exposure to change management practices
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Visio or process mapping tools a plus
Exposure to Agile, Salesforce, or data analytics tools beneficial but not required
