Responsibilities
Conceive, design, build, and launch new user-facing features
Lead development of new features and improvements for Cambly’s Student and Tutor experience
Optimize performance and ensure a smooth, high-quality teaching & learning experience
Collaborate with product and design teams to build product experiences that help students find the perfect tutor, create a learning plan, and build their English Fluency
Maintain a high code quality product through code reviews, testing, and best practices
Building a tutor discovery experience that is fun, engaging, and effective at connecting students with the perfect tutor
Creating a classroom experience where lesson content is generated by AI to be tailored to the learner's needs
Building post-lesson activities that are curated to fit each learner's areas for improvement
Qualification
Required
3+ years of full-stack development experience
2+ years of experience with React
Experience working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB
Experience building and maintaining production systems using tools like Lighthouse, Sentry, New Relic, etc
Good understanding of frontend technologies, patterns, and best practices
Good understanding of backend systems, patterns, and best practices
Passion for building products that have a real impact on users
