2026 Intern - Software Engineer Intern - Onsite (CO)
RTX is a leading company specializing in defense technologies, currently seeking Software Engineering Interns for the Summer of 2026. Interns will work on satellite ground systems and related software projects, engaging in design, development, testing, and maintenance of cutting-edge software solutions.

Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems
Research advanced software technologies
Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment
Qualification
Required
Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post-Graduate by the start of Summer 2026 in Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major
Experience developing object-oriented software using C++ or Java
Ability to troubleshoot software errors and provide fixes
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Experience with Agile development
Experience developing software using Python
Experience working with applications in the AWS Cloud
Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Interest in satellite ground system software and related technologies such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, and flight dynamics models
