Responsibilities
Leads and executes key research projects related to the two pillars of our research program, working with non-human primates in our custom virtual reality and large-scale electrophysiology environments
Conducts a variety of research experiments using advanced research techniques
Coordinates project activities to meet deadlines
Collaborates with the Principal Investigator in the development of new experiments and research techniques
Assists in the implementation of standardized protocols for experiments and training purposes
Assists the Principal Investigator with publications by extracting and compiling data; reviewing and editing articles for publication
Mentors and trains less experienced research staff and graduate students
Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Performs other related duties
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in sciences or related field
5 years in a research environment; 1+ years working with nonhuman primates or other large animals in a research setting
Experience with non-human primates in a research setting
Preferred
Masters Degree in sciences or related field
Experience with lab management duties is a significant advantage
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C#, and/or bash scripting is a major plus
