Responsibilities
Verifies the accuracy of vendor invoices for work performed by contractors and other contingent workers within Transmission and Distribution
Audits vendor invoices for compliance by analyzing various elements such as the work scope detailed in the purchase order, the terms and conditions stipulated in the master agreement, time sheets, equipment services, work quality, performance requirements, production costs, delivery schedules and other supporting documentation
Reviews and ensures adherence with tax requirements
Collaborates with project planners, Supply Chain Procurement and Accounts Payable or the vendor to resolve issues promptly in cases of discrepancies to ensure timely payments to vendors
Makes recommendations to improve processes, lessen risks to the business, and improve future audit results
Supports the CMO and systems of records to ensure a strong vendor management office program by ensuring compliance, process management and that all employment labor laws are properly implemented and cascaded by both internal control and vendor partners
Qualification
Required
Experience managing purchase orders through the full lifecycle (creation, maintenance, and closeout)
Experience processing and reviewing invoices
Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies
Working understanding of contract compliance, vendor rate cards, and billing terms
Looking for candidates with hands-on experience supporting PO and invoice management in an operational environment
Candidates must have experience reviewing invoices against contract terms and PO scope, identifying discrepancies or incorrect charges, and coordinating with vendors, Accounts Payable, and Supply Chain to resolve issues
Experience working with high-volume invoices, managing exceptions, and applying consistent billing standards across vendors is important
Familiarity with ERP systems (such as PeopleSoft or similar)
Comfort working in a detail-oriented, compliance-focused role is preferred
Preferred
A four-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a job related field from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years' experience in business analysis and/or vendor compliance audit positions
In lieu of bachelor's degree, combination of college coursework and experience in business analysis and/or vendor compliance audit positions equaling six (6) years
