The role involves managing the end-to-end process of carrier claims, invoice audits, and shipment investigations to recover value on lost or damaged shipments and ensure billing accuracy.

Responsibilities
Identify claim-eligible shipments (loss, damage, service failure, incorrect billing, etc.)
Complete and submit carrier-specific claim forms and templates
Track claim status and follow up on unresolved submissions
Manage documentation (invoices, PDFs, tracking reports) needed for claim validation
Review carrier and customer invoices for billing discrepancies (DIM weight errors, additional handling, incorrect rates, etc.)
Cross-reference shipment and tracking data to verify charges
Communicate discrepancies to carriers or internal stakeholders
Pull reports and data from Tableau, Excel, and Airtable to support weekly workflows
Coordinate with the Customer Service team on client-reported issues
Support rate audits, markup proposals, and new carrier launches during GRI or onboarding periods
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience in operations, claims, logistics, fulfillment, or invoicing
Strong Excel skills (filters, pivot tables, basic formulas); experience with Tableau or Airtable a plus
Comfort working with high volumes of data and repetitive processes
Ability to spot inconsistencies and dig into root causes
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Preferred
Experience working with UPS, DHL, OnTrac, or other carriers and understanding of their claim processes
