Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, source control drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to determine inspection criteria and measurement methods
Inspect and measure materials, components, and finished products to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications
Perform dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, rulers, and other precision measuring tools
Conduct visual inspections with and without microscopes to identify defects or nonconformances
Accurately document inspection results and clearly identify and reject nonconforming materials or products
Communicate inspection findings with supervisors, engineers, and production teams and support corrective actions
Enter and maintain inspection records within the ERP system
Create and update inspection reports based on engineering drawings and quality requirements
Learn to operate advanced inspection equipment such as Optical Comparators, CMMs, and Vision Inspection Systems
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office
Solid math skills, including understanding tolerances and sampling plans
Experience using hand measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Familiarity with basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
High School Diploma or GED required
2–3 years of related experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a similar environment
Preferred
Additional training or coursework in Quality or Inspection
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification is a plus
