This role focuses on receiving samples from clients, inspecting them for compliance, and supporting environmental compliance programs for various samples including water and soil.

Responsibilities
Receiving samples from clients and inspecting for proper containers, temperatures, preservatives, etc
Completing sample receipt forms based on method requirements and documenting any deviations
Communicating issues to Project Managers as they arise
Labeling sample containers and placing in appropriate storage locations
Filling sample bottle requests from clients
Assisting in sub-contracting of samples to other laboratories
Supporting archiving and staging of samples
Demonstrating and supporting GEL core values
Conducting tasks that support other operations in the laboratory
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma required
Six months of shipping and receiving or related experience
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to properly receive samples from clients
Exhibits organizational skills and attention to detail
May work a Monday – Friday schedule or a Tuesday – Saturday schedule
Preferred
Associate's degree (with science or laboratory course completion) preferred
