Responsibilities

Identify, research, and qualify RFP/ RFQ’s and upcoming projects for go/no go potential
Direct and lead submittals in response to RFP/ RFQ’s
Manage existing and develop new client relationships
Perform at a ‘responsible charge’ level; meeting exp’s design and quality levels
Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
Work with project team and clients to meet scheduled project milestones on multiple projects
Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp’s and client’s exposure to problems
Understand MEP/FP/ELV (low voltage) work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
Understand proper scope of MEP/FP/ELV SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation
Coordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP/ELV, architectural, structural, specialty consultants, etc)
Edit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc)
Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases
Thorough knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical codes
Advanced equipment selection and analysis (generators, UPS units, chillers, boilers)
Be able to direct and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis
QA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers, and provide guidance and mentoring

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
10+ years of building HVAC or Electrical design experience
3+ years of MEP Project Management experience
