Quality Engineer 2

The Quality Engineer 2 is responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives, performing root cause analysis, and supporting new product introduction projects.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret product drawings in accordance with industry standards (e.g. ASME Y14.5-2009)
Perform and assist other departments with Root Cause Analysis and 8D Corrective Actions
Prepare graphical analysis (e.g. histograms, paretos) in support of organizational KPIs
Prepare statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE) plans in support of organizational continuous improvement activities
Design and execute MSA studies
Provide quality support to cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) team projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Material Sciences
3-5 years' Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing-related Industry, semiconductor equipment preferred
Exceptional mechanical aptitude
Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment
Previous audit experience required

Near vision acuity required with or without reasonable accommodation for reading instrumentation and documentation, dial and digital gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of coating operations
Sitting for extended period of time
Work in a temp. controlled environment
Normal office environment
The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, gloves, ear plugs/covers, mask, cleanroom suit) in the shop floor area
