Administrative Supervisor 3
New Jersey Courts is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional to fill the role of Administrative Supervisor 3 in the Administrative Office of the Courts. The position involves managing and overseeing staff who provide support to local child support staff, developing policies and training materials, and ensuring effective operation of the unit.

Responsibilities
Provide critical support for vicinage staff and the on-going development of program policies and procedures and training material
Project an image of helpfulness, cooperation, and solidarity with management and in assisting management implement its work, rules, policies and procedures
Work to meet strategic standards and divisional goals within required time periods. Maintain efforts to achieve compliance with certain performance measures
Develop and maintain formal partnerships between divisions to develop strategies that enhance performance, initiate programs, improve communication, and enhance customer service
Ensure the effective utilization and data quality of automated systems. Manage the necessary planning, development, and implementation for new initiatives as they arise
Work collaboratively with the Vicinage Liaison Team to provide support to Vicinage and AOC staff
Monitor staff activities, coordinate their scheduling of visits (virtual and in person) and mentor them in their role as the primary contact for Vicinage staff
Work with DFD and other stakeholders in creating and implementing standard operating procedures and best practices
Promote a positive work environment through team building, mentoring, cross-training and delegation of work
Maintain effective communication with management and staff. Share program information with staff and establish expectations that staff will do the same with vicinage staff
Participate in meetings and committees as required. Coordinate and oversee assigned committees to ensure workflow, processing of deliverables and staff participation/completion of tasks associated with each committee
Comply with Judiciary Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Workplace Violence, EEO etc. Ensure that staff understand and comply with all policies
Review procedures and provide suggested improvements in unit activities and Judiciary programs
Where identified, provide training/presentations to AOC and Vicinage staff in systems, policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience, two years of which shall have included experience in development, coordination, analysis, implementation, administration or research
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits
An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above
A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of general experience as indicated above
Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service
Driver's License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations
Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting
Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the 'New Jersey First Act,' all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey
