Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and a deep understanding of client operations, enabling proactive identification of tax needs
Stay current on tax laws and regulations to provide clients with forward-thinking tax planning solutions and accurate compliance guidance
Support business development efforts and contribute to the expansion of the firm’s client base
Oversee and review complex tax returns and accruals prepared by staff, including Federal and multi-state returns for corporations, S corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, estates, and non-profit entities
Lead and mentor staff, promote professional growth, and help shape training programs focused on technical excellence
Work closely with leadership and colleagues to maintain a positive, communicative, and integrity-driven culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Master's/MBA with an accounting concentration (meeting NYS 150-hour CPA educational requirement)
6+ years of tax accounting experience
Strong understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities
Ability to collaborate in a team-focused environment
Willingness to work on-site with some travel to client locations as needed
