Lecturer of Graphic and Interactive Design and Public Relations
Point Park University is a vibrant urban university located in Downtown Pittsburgh, seeking a full-time lecturer for their School of Communication. The successful candidate will teach graphic and interactive design and public relations courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, while also advising and mentoring students.

Responsibilities
Teaching graphic and interactive design and public relations courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Recruiting and retaining students in the Arts and Graphic Design area
Participating in SoC/Media Arts meetings and events
Maintain regular office hours
Work collaboratively and productively with faculty colleagues to meet the needs of our student body
Qualification
Required
Earned MFA in graphic design or media arts, an MBA, or an MA in Mass Communication or a related field
Five years of professional work experience in graphic and interactive design or public relations in a design or artistic position
Ability to teach courses in Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Branding, Typography, Professional Practices and Public Relations
Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
Preferred
Ability to teach core courses in the advertising or public relations program
Experience teaching event planning and/or crisis communication courses
Track record of success in working with diverse communities of students, colleagues, and clients
