Responsibilities

Executes the Company's counterparty onboarding process, including all Know Your Counterpart (KYC) and Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD) compliance activities
Serves as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external counterparties on due-diligence matters
Processes new counterparty onboarding requests as well as periodic renewals
Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the Counterparty Due Diligence Log, CubeLogic, COMPASS, and shared due-diligence directories
Conducts due-diligence research and documents findings in the Counterparty Due Diligence Review form
Collects, reviews, and analyzes onboarding documentation to ensure all required materials are on file, including formation documents, tax certificates, standard settlement instructions, bank references, ownership structure, and financial statements
Prepares complete CDD review packages for final review and approval
Assists management in training and mentoring new analysts
Performs all onboarding activities in compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations

Required

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in counterparty onboarding, CDD, and KYC, preferably within an energy trading company
Strong familiarity with energy trading activities and related counterparties
Knowledge of U.S. and international ABC regulations and compliance practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); advanced Excel skills required
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively in a team environment
Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure, multi-tasking trading environment
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
High attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to stay current on industry best practices, procedures, and regulatory expectations
