Analytics Data Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows to support analytics and reporting needs
Implement and maintain scalable data architectures, ensuring efficient data integration and processing
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes
Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data pipelines and analytics systems
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data engineering practices

Qualification
Required
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field and five or more years progressive experience in programming and development. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
Proven experience in data warehouse development, data engineering, analytics, or related fields
Proficiency in Azure Synapse Data Flow and other Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL)
Strong expertise in data warehouse and data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) and database design
Solid understanding of SQL and other query languages
Familiarity with programming languages for data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java)
Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions and services (e.g., Azure)
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required
Preferred
Familiarity with SAP data structures, tables, and processes
Experience working with SAP data sources for analytics and reporting
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and distributed computing frameworks
Understanding of machine learning pipelines and how to prepare data for AI/ML models
Strong knowledge of data statistics, including experience applying statistical methods to analyze, interpret, and visualize data trends (e.g., regression analysis, hypothesis testing, time series analysis)
Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and integration with data pipelines
Knowledge of DevOps practices for data engineering, including CI/CD pipelines and version control
