Fire Sprinkler/ Deluge Designer
Total Safety is the world's premier provider of integrated safety and compliance services. They are seeking an Industrial Fire Protection Designer to design fire protection systems using CAD software and support the fabrication, construction, and installation of these systems.

Responsibilities
Create detailed drawings with limited input from customers or field
Perform calculations as required by codes and/or manufacturer instructions
Select components to meet customer needs, specifications, and applications
Work closely with the Total Safety engineering staff, Construction Manager, Project Managers, Sales, and other discipline engineers and designers
Create and maintain fire protection CAD / modeling standards
Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers
Assists others as needed
Qualification
Required
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in fire protection design in petrochemical, oil refinery or related industrial applications
Must have a minimum of 3 years of AutoSPRINK and AutoCAD experience
Must be able to acquire and maintain licenses and certifications necessary to perform assigned responsibilities
Must be able to travel
Must be able to obtain TWIC card and pass any required safety testing, including classes such as Basic Plus, OSHA 10 hour, etc
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and other data base software
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, an unwavering commitment to safety and health and other company policies and procedures
Must possess high ethical standards demonstrated by their approach to business
Must demonstrate leadership and the ability to coordinate resources to achieve maximum profitability, efficiency, and utilization
Must be able to prepare accurate, effective, complete, and easily understood written communications and reports
Proficiency in the care and use of all sites specific, facility and customer required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Trained in Respiratory Protection and fully certified to wear respiratory breathing equipment (Fit Tested)
Two-year certificate from college or technical school in related course work required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
NICET Level I or II certification in the fire protection field of application is also preferred and an expectation to pursue further professional development by obtaining additional NICET accreditation and/or State licensing
Proficiency with other design software, such as HydraCAD and/or 3D modelling programs is desired
