InternCMG Drainage Engineering, Inc. is offering an internship for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related fields. The intern will assist mid-level and senior professionals in delivering project deliverables while gaining practical experience in hydrology and hydraulics.

Responsibilities
Assisting mid-level and senior professionals in the firm to deliver project deliverables to clients
Learning how to apply methodologies for quantifying drainage and surface water
Applying 1-dimensional and 2-dimensional software to assess flooding and hazards due to flooding
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Watershed Management or similar degree with emphasis in hydrology and hydraulics
College level coursework completed in the principles of Hydrology and Hydraulics
Introduction to Computer Aided Drafting and an academic understanding of the software, how it is used and ability to perform basic functions
Introduction to ArcGIS and understanding of how to do basic functions within the program
Experience with HEC-RAS at least from a coursework perspective
Knowledge of normal depth and standard step backwater calculations
Ability to delineate a watershed and read topographic mapping
Ability to operate a Windows operating system PC
Ability to work part-time to full-time in the summer and able to continue working during the school semester for a reasonable number of hours
Experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI)
