CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE II
The City of Houston is seeking a Customer Service Representative II for their Houston Water/Drinking Water Operations/System Maintenance Customer Service Dispatch. The role involves providing general information and customer assistance, maintaining records, and coordinating field crew activities while ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Maintaining a positive and proactive approach to the guidelines and department goals
Collecting data and requesting field investigations
Coordinating field crew activities; receiving information from field crews and other sources via PC and telephone
Creating, updating and costing service requests and work orders accurately and in a timely manner
Responding to inquiries by telephone or email
Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and using effective questioning techniques to verify/confirm customers' concerns
Maintaining and monitoring various records and reports
Provides guidance and training to other representatives
Performing other administrative and customer service-related duties as requested
Qualification
Required
Requires a high school diploma or a GED
Two (2) years of Administrative or customer service-related experience are required
An Associate degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience

Preferred
Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6
