Responsibilities
Function within his/her scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide indirect care function as related to the obstetrical patient
Responsible to function as the 'scrub technologist' in the C-section suite and other clinical areas, which consists of the selection and set-up of the sterile table with instruments, supplies and equipment; the passing of instruments to the surgeon during the procedure; maintaining sterile technique and caring for instruments following the procedure
Assist in vaginal deliveries and perform designated unit and clerical functions
Qualification
Required
Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience
Upon hire: Washington Surgical Technologist Registration
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred
Upon hire: Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics
Recent experience as an OB Scrub Tech or surgical technologist in an acute care facility
