The role involves conducting technical editing of documents for Section 508 compliance and supporting the development of pre-deployment content while collaborating with other subject matter experts.

Responsibilities
Supports the End-User Engagement and Adoption (EUEA) and broader deployment team as a pre-deployment content and Section 508-compliance subject matter expert (SME)
Conducts technical editing of VA-produced pre-deployment documents, conducts Section 508-compliance in accordance with Federal standards, and supports the overall development of pre-deployment event and activity content
Works closely with communications SMEs (e.g., other Section 508 compliance SMEs) providing support in other program areas as needed to support overall program compliance
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional work experience
Experience managing Information Technology related projects
Well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies
Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
Able to identify and mitigate risks
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Preferred
Experience in the VA
Experience implementing electronic health records
