Service Engineer

Responsibilities
Identifies, defines, and quantifies product deficiencies
Works with SPM quality and engineering to achieve effective and timely solutions to product problems
Works with supply chain and service centers to ensure parts availability for schedule and unplanned maintenance
Prepares data for release of technical information to fleet management, service centers, and contracted customers
Participates in new product contracts by coordinating maintenance programs, scheduled maintenance, spare parts, and back-office monitoring procedures
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Have a clean driving record, which generally means: No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months. No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions
Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment
Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering
1-2 years frac pump experience, or 3-5 years' experience with positive displacement pumps, large compressors, large reciprocating equipment, hydraulics, lubrication circuits, and packaging
Must identify product problems and their root cause, then help achieve an effective and timely solution to these problems
Understand and determine risk for assets based on maintenance cycle, product issues, and abuse and neglect situations
Proficient in Microsoft suite with emphasis on Excel, Power Bi. Minitab or other statistical tool
