Responsibilities
Develop and execute the engineering strategy aligned with company goals
Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning and technology adoption
Develop and execute multi-year capital plans including ROI analysis, vendor selection, project management, and start-up support
Ability to drive innovation and process improvements
Lead strategic vendor and partner relationships for materials and technology sourcing
Help drive R&D initiatives for new roofing technologies and energy-efficient solutions
Develop succession planning and talent development programs within the engineering department
Implement quality assurance processes for engineering deliverables
Coordinate with operations, sales, and procurement teams for seamless project execution
Implement project management best practices and tools for efficiency
Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Resolve technical challenges promptly to avoid delays
Identify and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., advanced materials, automation, digital tools)
Support the adoption of Procore, Bluebeam, CAD, and other engineering software for design optimization
Explore opportunities for automation in roofing installation and manufacturing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
10+ years' experience in Manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within construction or roofing industry
Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects and teams
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing, implementing and managing high performance work systems and teams
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, CAD, Procore etc.)

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
