Intern - Emergency Preparedness Center

The Dominion Energy Distribution Emergency Preparedness Center is seeking a student intern to contribute to their mission of providing safe and reliable energy for customers during threats, focusing on emergency management and preparedness activities.

Responsibilities
Participate in a variety of emergency preparedness cycle activities including plans review and drafting, exercise development, corrective action plan management, resource planning, and other related events and activities
Attend internal and external meetings and outreach events
Maintain and update business processes and procedures as needed including emergency communication capabilities
Assist in the development and execution of training and exercises based on our emergency plans
Create After-Action Reports (AARs) as needed following emergency events
Design and facilitate a tabletop exercise for the Distribution EPC
Qualification
Required
Be an undergraduate or graduate student graduate in December 2026 or later
Be enrolled in an Emergency Management and or Homeland Security degree program
Preferred
Prefer FEMA and/other emergency management course work in training, exercises, NIMS, ICS, and incident management
