Sr. Financial Analyst

Responsibilities
Own monthly close activities with accuracy and confidence
Produce timely, relevant management reporting (standard + ad hoc)
Drive meaningful transparency by analyzing results, building financial models, and distilling KPIs
Develop clear, thoughtful commentary on results and trends
Build and refine expense outlooks in partnership with Technology leaders
Explain drivers behind managed and allocated expenses in a way non‑finance partners understand
Analyze IT service costing (i.e. sub‑ledger) data to support infrastructure transparency
Maintain data integrity, including capitalization processes
Ensure reserves, paid corrections, and cost allocations are accurate, justified, and fully supported
Helps manages and deploys technology spend, including capital vs. operating investment decisions, lifecycle funding, infrastructure modernization, and ongoing run‑the‑business costs
Drive or support projects to streamline financial processes, enhance data quality, and modernize reporting tools
Identify automation opportunities and help shape the future of tech‑finance operations
Review and approve contracts, purchase orders, and invoices; validate procurement saves
Oversee fixed asset reviews, including hardware purchases, asset setup, and depreciation
Understand and explain cash vs. expense impacts related to technology and infrastructure investments
Qualification
Required
3+ years related expense experience
Strong Excel skills
Self-starter, self-motivated and performance driven; ability to lead through influencing
Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new applications
Results oriented with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
Critical thinker with proven critical thinking skills
Analytical capabilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners, and other expense partners
Preferred
Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
TM1 skills a plus
Familiarity with insurance accounting and reporting concepts/theories, including knowledge of GAAP concepts/theories a plus
