Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including air handling units, chilled water systems, plumbing, and specialized aviation mechanical equipment
Verify that all work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and local building codes (UPC, UMC, etc.)
Maintain precise daily logs, progress reports, and deficiency lists using digital project management tools
Coordinate closely with project managers, general contractors, and airport stakeholders to resolve technical discrepancies in real-time
Ensure all mechanical installations are performed under strict adherence to OSHA and airport-specific safety protocols

Qualification

Mechanical InspectionAviation StandardsPlumbing InspectionBIM LiteracyCommunication Skills

Required

At least 5+ years of experience in mechanical inspection, specifically on large-scale commercial or industrial projects (Aviation experience is a massive plus)
Valid state or ICC certifications in Mechanical and/or Plumbing inspection
The ability to read complex blueprints, BIM models, and submittals with ease
A 'firm but fair' approach to enforcement and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check for a secure SIDA badge
