Responsibilities
Conduct structural analysis of bridges, including complex calculations for various bridge types
Perform hands-on bridge safety inspections in the field
Develop load rating calculations and models using commercial bridge analysis software and finite element modeling
Prepare detailed technical reports on bridge conditions, including field inspection reports, bridge repair recommendations, repair schemes, and cost estimates
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale bridge projects
Develop and implement bridge maintenance and rehabilitation strategies
Utilize advanced software for 3D modeling and simulation of bridge structures
Participate in project planning and budgeting processes
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all aspects of work
Contribute to the development of innovative bridge design and inspection techniques
Represent the company in client meetings and industry conferences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
NBIS Certified Bridge Inspector Credentials
Preferred
PE license
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively
