Responsibilities
Assist with compilation of the monthly financial statements
Acquire knowledge of the Great Plains accounting system and become subject matter expert
Assist with updating and maintaining process documentation on all accounting procedures
Publish departmental expense reports and assist with expense research and analysis
Assist with bank and account reconciliations as assigned
Assist with Inventory and Fixed Asset recordkeeping
Assist with preparation for the annual audit
Cross-train on all key functions in Accounting and provide backup coverage for vacations
Prepare, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Identify and recommend efficiency improvements
Operate as a team player and help to unify the team
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3+ years of previous experience in accounting or finance
Previous experience in an accounting software system
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or relevant systems
Operate within the corporate policy guidelines and business practices
Results oriented and demonstrated strong sense of urgency
Excellent communication skills, written/verbal with internal and external contacts
Proven ability to be organized, detailed, multi-tasker, critical thinker, accurate, thorough and a problem-solver
Ability to adapt to change in the workplace or assignment of duties
