Student Personnel Officer

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the New Orleans Job Corps Center, providing quality services to local youth. The Student Personnel Officer will oversee student personnel functions, including discipline and behavioral adjustment, ensuring compliance with government and management directives.

Human Resources

Responsibilities

Provide overall supervision for student personnel through effective planning, staff scheduling and student participation in establishment of rules
Assist in developing and implementing new and revised policies and procedures affecting student discipline, and coordinate with other departments to comply with overall center objectives
Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports
Determine and administer disciplinary action for students who have violated rules and regulations; counsel students when their behavior on or off-center is not appropriate
Coordinate and monitor review board and peer court functions and actions
Coordinate student discipline with other center staff and maintain documentation of records and reports on activities

Required

Associate's degree and one (1) year related experience
Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements
A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
