Responsibilities
Processing, scanning and indexing medical records for completeness and compliance in accordance with federal and state regulatory guidelines, Joint Commission standards, Medical Staff By-Laws/policies and procedures, and HIM department policies and procedures
Storefront coverage
Patient calls
Facilitating quick retrieval of specific requested documentation
Providing quality audits of scanned PHI prior to destruction
Qualification
Required
H.S. Diploma or GED
Preferred
Coursework/Training Medical terminology, business or secretarial training
2 years Previous experience in a hospital environment
