Responsibilities
Create and lead the development of RAFTRx’s safety program from the ground up, emphasizing proactive safety measures, compliance, and accountability
Conduct regular site visits to perform safety audits, identify hazards, and recommend actionable improvements
Partner directly with Sales and Operations teams to ensure consistent implementation of safety protocols, including active participation in on-site evaluations (including rooftops)
Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs across all locations
Act as the primary subject matter expert for all safety matters, including OSHA compliance, incident management, and regulatory reporting
Analyze safety trends and data to inform strategic decisions and continuously improve safety outcomes
Lead and thoroughly document investigations into incidents and manage effective follow-up actions to mitigate future risks
Proactively manage workers' compensation claims, working closely with the Finance team to effectively resolve and mitigate claims
Integrate comprehensive vehicle and travel safety measures into broader company safety protocols
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in safety roles, specifically within the construction, building products, or roofing industries
Proven experience independently building and managing safety programs from inception
Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, compliance frameworks, and best practices
Extensive experience managing and mitigating workers' compensation claims
Comfortable with regular physical inspections, including roof inspections and site evaluations
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to influence teams at all organizational levels
Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 50% travel)
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification
Experience in high-growth, rapidly evolving organizational environments
Strong track record with vehicle safety and multi-site safety management
