Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution and coordination of complex packaging engineering functions across multiple capital projects and deliver innovative solutions in integrated food processing unit operations
Provide detailed packaging design and engineering support throughout the lifecycle of capital initiatives including process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), equipment specifications and system layouts
Champion seamless design integration with broader project goals including cost, schedule, safety and quality
Evaluate vendor proposals for alignment with performance and compliance standards and direct third-party engineering firms, original equipment manufacturers (OEM), and other external partners to ensure design excellence and on-time project delivery
Collaborate closely with standards, quality assurance, operations, maintenance and capital engineering teams to ensure that process systems support innovation, food safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Confirm that all designs and process changes adhere to company standards, industry best practices, food safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 7+ years of experience in packaging systems design and project execution in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
OR Associate's degree in applicable technical discipline with 10+ years of experience in packaging systems design and project execution in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
Must be willing to travel approximately 30% or more to meet business needs
